Son of Thomas Owen and Ellen Rogers, of 56, Alexandra Road, Bee Hive, Horwich, Lancashire. Enlisted January 1916. Formerly Lancashire Fusiliers. Wounded July 1916. Surname alternatively recorded as RODGERS.

Sager, Arthur –

Son of James H. and Mary J. Sager, of 150, Markland Hill, Heaton, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 23, Cloister Street, Halliwell, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly 25926, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment.

Sandiford, W –

Of Ainsworth, Lancashire. Wounded and hospitalised at Leicester in March 1918.

Worked for Salford Corporation Police Department. Formerly 15198, Lancashire Fusiliers.

Scard, Benjamin –

Son of John V. and Ann Scard, of 1, Howarth Square, Astley Bridge, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of the Wilson Arms, 885, Belmont Road, Astley Bridge, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted at the outbreak, 8th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment, but became ill with bronchitis. On recovery re-enlisted January 1915.

Schofield, John –

Son of the late Robert and Mary Ann Schofield, of Walkden, Lancashire; husband of Elizabeth Schofield (nee Hogg), of 22, Blantyre Avenue, Walkden, Lancashire. Enlisted October 1915. Formerly 4476, Duke of Lancaster’s Own Yeomanry. Killed by a bursting enemy shell.
