Caught aged 24 as an absentee from Glencorse since 11/03/1918 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 12/03/1918 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/29). Medal Card states “Deserter 04/01/1919” and shows Cameronians.
