Son of Reverend William Henry and Rose Eliza Claxton, of 46, Hampton Road, Forest Gate, London. Father was former pastor of the New Jerusalem Church, Bolton Road, Kearsley, Lancashire. Husband of CLara Claxton, of Rosslyn House, Colby, Isle of Man. Died in hospital in Bonn, Germany after six days’ illness.

Of 41, Mortfield Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Wounded by gunshot to the left elbow and captured. Returned as exchanged prisoner of war, came home in August 1915.
