Reported missing since 26/09/1915 and subsequently presumed killed.

Son of the late Peter and Margaret McCarthy; brother of Mr. Thomas McCarthy, of 25, St. Germain Street, Farnworth Lancashire. Of 71, King Street, Farnworth, Lancashire. A reservist, having served twelve years in the army, with four as a regular in India.

McCreavy, Henry –

Son of Mr. and Mrs. McCreavy, of 15, West End Road, Morecambe, Lancashire.

McEwan, James –

Son of Mr. and Mrs. McEwan, of 30, Higher Street, New Bury, Farnworth, Lancashire. Enlisted January 1916. Formerly Army Cyclist Corps. Wounded by shell shrapnel 10/10/1917.

McGee, John –

Son of John and Elizabeth McGee, of 21, Mary Street, Hightown, Salford, Lancashire.

McGuinness, James Robert –

Of 19, Back Dawson Lane, Bolton, Lancashire. Caught aged 19 as an absentee from Ripon since 19/11/1918 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 22/11/1918 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/29).

Melling, Jack –

Son of Thomas Edward and Jane Ann Melling, of 30, Gladstone Road, Farnworth, Lancashire; nephew of E. Melling, Baker, of 159, Egerton Street, Moses Gate, Farnworth, Lancashire. Enlisted May 1917. Formerly 48564, Lancashire Fusiliers. Posted missing and subsequently presumed killed.
