Buckley, Arthur –

Grandson of Mrs. Buckley, of 2, Land Fold, Heaton, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted September 1914. Wounded in the back and shoulder 15/07/1916. On the rolls of honour of Horwich Moor Primitive Methodist Sunday School, and Christ Church, Heaton. His brother Percy also fell.

Son of Catherine Burke, of 7, Gregson Street, Farnworth, Lancashire, and the late Patrick Burke, and formerly of 12, Kent Street. Formerly 3646, Lancashire Fusiliers.

Son of William and Sarah Burns, of 68, Regent Street, Salford, Lancashire.

Burton, J –

Brother of Mr. Burton, resident (June 1916) of 19, Woodgate Street, Great Lever, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted aged 17 and served in the South African Campaign receiving both the King’s and the Queen’s Medals. Called up as a reservist in 1914, and fought at Le Cateau, Marne, Aisne, Lys, St. Yoes, Pilkern, Shell Trap Farm, Gravenstafel, Ypres, Ploegsteert Wood, and Le Ghen up to June 1916.

Byrne, Thomas –

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Byrne, of 150, Blackhorse Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted November 1914. Posted missing since 15/07/1916 and subsequently presumed killed. A brother, Herbert, served in India.
