Youngest son of Thomas and Mary Ellen Fawell, of 13, Bedford Street, Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Annie Fawell (nee Bates). An old boy of Bolton Municipal Secondary School. Formerly 5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment.

Feighney, Peter –

Son of Thomas and Mary Feighney, of 3, Preston Avenue, Irlam, Lancashire. Originally enlisted into the Manchester Regiment as Private 4524. Became Private 6380 on transfer to the 1st/8th (Irish) Bn., King’s Liverpool Regiment.

Finucane, Noel –

Son of Mary and the late John Finucane, of 52, Strathcona Road, Liscard, Wallasey, Cheshire. One of the crew of the “Lusitania”. Afterwards on the “Aquitania”, until the evacuation of Gallipoli.

Fish, Robert –

Husband of Sarah Ann Fish (nee Harrison), of 27, Cobden Street, Farnworth, Lancashire. Enlisted November 1915. Formerly 12th Bn., King’s Own Royal Lancaster Regiment. Multiple previous attempts at enlistment, all resulting in discharge as not likely to become an efficient soldier.

Younger son of Ann Fisher, of 83, Ramwell Street, Bolton, Lancashire, and the late Thomas Fisher. An old boy of the Bolton Church Institute. Enlisted July 1915. Formerly Private 16446, Coldstream Guards. Commissioned 25/10/1916.

Son of William Henry and Elizabeth Fletcher, of 10, Lynton Avenue, Newtown, Rochdale, Lancashire. Born at Castleton, Lancashire. Attached 176th Light Trench Mortar Battery.

Fletcher, Robert –

Son of William and the late Mrs. Fletcher. Formerly 7096, South Lancashire Regiment.

Flitcroft, William –

Husband of Mrs. Flitcroft, of 126, Manchester Road, Swinton, Lancashire. A hairdresser. Formerly Army Cyclists’ Corps. Reported missing since an engagement on 30/11/1917.

Forrester, Robert –

Son of Richard and Henrietta Forrester, of 137, Albert Road, Blackpool, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of Horwich, Lancashire. An Old Boy of Rivington and Blackrod Grammar School. Formerly employed by the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Company. Formerly Private 5688, 1st/10th Bn., King’s Liverpool Regiment. Reported missing since 30/11/1917 and subsequently confirmed prisoner of war. Repatriated 14/12/1918.

Forshaw, Albert –

Formerly Private 2500, 2nd/10th Bn., King’s Liverpool Regiment. Played in a football match in October 1916 against a team from the 2nd/5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment.

Son of Mary Jane Forshaw, of 123, Bolton Road, Kearsley, Lancashire, and the late Henry Forshaw. Enlisted August 1915.

Forster, George Henry –

Son of Ernest Henry and Edith Emma Forster; husband of Lilian Esther Forster, of Great Crosby, Liverpool, Lancashire. Attached 6th Battalion, West Riding Regiment.

Fox, Herbert –

Son of Edward Ernest and Margaret Fox, of 18, Clelland Street, Farnworth, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted under-age October 1915, 5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment.

Fray, Michael –

Of 54, Spring Gardens, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly Private 442, 4th Bn., Lancashire Fusiliers. Caught multiple times as a deserter / absentee appearing before Bolton Magistrates to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/26 and JBO/1/27).
