Son of Margaret Sheriff, of 19, Pembroke Avenue, Patricroft, Lancashire. Worked for the London and North Western Railway Company as a Fitter at Patricroft, Lancashire.

Played in a football match in October 1916 against a team from the 2nd/5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment.

Sixsmith, Samuel (Sam) –

Son of Mr. J. E. Sixsmith, of 101, Hall Lane, Moses Gate, Farnworth, Lancashire. Formerly employed by the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Company at Victoria Station, Manchester. Enlisted October 1916. Reported missing since 21/03/1918 and subsequently confirmed prisoner of war.
