Son of the late Thomas Foster, and of Ann Catherine Foster (nee Jones). Of 5, Short Street, Horwich, Lancashire. Formerly Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Wounded and lost his right leg at Arras on 14/06/1917. His twin brother Roland was killed at the Dardanelles in August 1915.
