Son of Mr. and Mrs. T. McLoughlin, of 34, Gurth Street, Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Ellen McLoughlin (nee Gibson), of 13, Blackwood Street, Great Lever, Bolton, Lancashire. Suffered gas poisoning and a gunshot wound. Later emigrated to the USA.

McLoughlin, John –

Son of Mr. and Mrs. T. McLoughlin, of 34, Gurth Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Caught aged 28 as a deserter from Queenborough, Isle of Sheppey since 02/06/1918 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 10/03/1919 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/30).

Son of John and Mary Melia, of 118, Mount Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly 11th Bn., and 17th Bn., King’s Royal Rifle Corps. Wounded by gunshot in the right arm on 29/07/1916. Reported missing from 04/04/1918.

Of 60, Windley Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Reported missing 25/07/1916 and subsequently confirmed prisoner of war. Reported as Rifle Brigade in BJ&G and F&WJ.
