Mottram, John Elliott –

Son of Margaret Edith Mottram (nee Morton), of Beech House, Beech House, Pendleton, Salford, Lancashire, and the late Sir Richard Mottram. Enlisted August 1914. Formerly Private 2593, 2nd/7th Bn., Manchester Regiment. Commissioned Second Lieutenant 14/05/1915. Promoted Lieutenant July 1917. Killed at Passchendaele Ridge. Christ Church.

Mudie, Robert Alan –

Son of Catherine E. Mudie, of 35, Claude Road, Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Manchester, Lancashire, and the late Samuel robert Mudie. Returned from America in 1915 to join the Forces, and went to France in 1916. Attached 2nd/5th Bn., Lancashire Fusiliers.

Of 12, Kay Street, Middleton, Lancashire. Caught as an absentee from Southport since 29/12/1916 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 04/01/1917 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/27).

Of 8, Stewart Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Reported missing since 26/08/1914, and later as wounded and prisoner of war, held at Doeberitz Camp.

Mullineaux, William –

Of 28, Walter Street, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 48, Slaterfield, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 104, Cannon Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly 2nd Bn., Lancashire Fusiliers.
