Caught aged 31 / 35 (per record) as an absentee from 3rd Bn., Lancashire Fusiliers at Sutton-on-Hull since 24/01/1916 and from 1st/5th Bn., Lancashire Fusiliers at Scarborough since 18/07/1918 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 27/01/1916 and 01/08/1918 to be sent back to his unit under escort.
