Of 58, Coe Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Caught aged 24 as an absentee from Withernsea since 09/06/1918 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 16/08/1918 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/29).

Of 167, Robert Hall Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly 19th Bn., Lancashire Fusiliers.

Scott, James –

Son of James and Margaret Scott (nee Duffy), of Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Annie Scott (nee Blackburn), of 20, Hewitt Street, Great Lever, Bolton. Served in the South African Campaign. Formerly worked as a postman. Severely wounded at Marne. Reported missing since action at Gallipoli on 10/06/1915 and subsequently confirmed as having been killed.

Of 9, Water Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Caught as an absentee from Southport since 10/12/1916 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 28/12/1916 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/27).

Scott, Richard –

Of 10, Wingates Square, Westhoughton, Lancashire. Attached Manchester Regiment. Reported missing and subsequently confirmed prisoner of war at Dolmen Camp, Germany.

Seagrew, James –

Husband of Mary Wilshaw (formerly Seagrew), of 4, Brammah Street, Hurst, Ashton-under-Lyne, Lancashire; brother of Mrs. Coolhan, of 55, Cross Ormrod Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly employed at the Lum Street Gas Works. Enlisted September 1913. Wounded 25/05/1915 in the left ear and side of head. Found severely wounded to the head on a train at Euston as he was returning from furlough, and died from his injuries.

Seddon, Ernest –

Son of James Seddon, of 68, Stafford Road, Swinton, Lancashire. Formerly a plumber. Enlisted January 1916. Wounded by shrapnel in the leg in January 1918.

Seddon, Frank –

Son of John and Mary Seddon, of 92, Market Street, Stoneclough, Lancashire. An old boy of Bolton Municipal Secondary School. Enlisted December 1915. Wounded in the head and shoulder and died at a casualty clearing station.
