Boddis, Frank –

Son of Joseph and Mary Boddis, of Clifton, Lancashire; husband of Ethel Boddis, of Littleborough House, Palace Road, Douglas, Isle of Man.

Bolton, Arthur –

Son of James and Mary Ellen Bolton, of 224, Manchester Road, Walkden, Lancashire. Formerly employed in the dyeing department of Messrs. Burgess, Ledward, and Co, Walkden. Enlisted aged 16 (although claimed to be 19). Formerly Private 17782. Attached for a period from 02/10/1915 to 31/05/1916 to the 32nd Divisional Cyclist Company, Army Cyclist Corps. Previously wounded in January 1918. Posted missing and subsequently confirmed wounded by gunshot in the head and taken prisoner of war 25/04/1918 and in a German hospital in August 1918. Repatriated 07/09/1918.

Bolton, Thomas –

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Bolton, of 40, Conway Street, Farnworth, Lancashire. Formerly employed by the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Company at Moses Gate. Enlisted April 1915 into the Lancashire Fusiliers and transferred to the Railway Company of the Royal Engineers. Wounded in left arm and side in October 1917, and on recovery returned to the Lancashire Fusiliers.

Bommer, George –

Of 4, Devonshire Road, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 25, Kestor Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Caught aged 28 as an absentee from Sutton-on-Hull since 06/09/1915 and appeared before Bolton Magistrates 09/09/1915 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/26).
