Of 31, Gregson Field, Bolton, Lancashire. Caught aged 37 as an absentee from Bury since 31/10/1916 and from Knowsley Park since 04/05/1917 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 25/11/1916 and 11/05/1917 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/27 & JBO/1/28).
