Son of George Ball and Alice Aldridge, of 14, Fitzwarren Street, Pendleton, Lancashire. Served in France.

Alker, Robert –

Brother of Alice Hatton, of 185, New Street, Blackrod, Lancashire, formerly Alice Alker, of Silvester Street, Blackrod, Lancashire. Enlisted September 1914 aged 17. Missing since 24/05/1915 and subsequently presumed killed. Reported to be on the roll of honour of Blackrod Wesleyan Chapel in the BJ&G June 1916. His father also served. The BJ&G possibly recorded him in error as James Alker in an article reporting him as missing in July 1915.

Allcock, Henry –

Son of Thomas George and Rachel Allcock, of 21, Ewart Street, Salford, Lancashire. Christ Church. Previously enlisted 15/02/1915 as Private 17740, 3rd Bn., King’s Own Royal Lancaster Regiment, but discharged 29/03/1915 having made mis-statement as to age on enlistment, being only 16 years of age.

Son of Richard and Sarah Ann Anderson (nee Cubbage); husband of Mary Ann Anderson (nee Masser). Incorrectly recorded as Lincolnshire Regiment on CWGC.

Anderson, Richard –

Of 4, Back Waterloo Street, Bolton Lancashire. Caught as a deserter from Withernsea since 07/01/1918 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 04/03/1918 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/29).
