Of 28, Church Town, Rochdale, Lancashire. Caught as an absentee from Southport since 29/12/1916 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 04/01/1917 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/27).

Fletcher, William Henry –

Son of Mrs. Fletcher, of 189, Bridgeman Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted January 1916. Suffered a severe gunshot wound to the right hand 11/10/1917. Wounded in the left leg and in a base hospital in May 1918.

Fletcher, Herbert Ernest –

Son of Mary Elizabeth Kelly (formerly Fletcher), of 57, Manchester Street, Salford, Lancashire, and the late Frederick Fletcher. Formerly Private 2233, 1st/8th Bn., Lancashire Fusiliers. Died from the effects of pneumonia after a long illness.

Husband of Harriet Winifred Elizabeth Fletcher(nee Bridges) of Llandudno, and formerly of 7, Swinton Hall Road, Swinton, Lancashire. Previous service of 5 years (time expired) 5th Bn., South Lancashire Regiment. Formerly 4th Bn., Lancashire Fusiliers. Promoted to Sergeant Major April 1917. Wounded by gunshot 10/08/1918 to chest.

Son of Mrs. Elizabeth Fletcher, of 5, Romer Street, Tonge Fold, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted September 1915. Formerly 4409, Duke of Lancaster’s Own Yeomanry.

Fletcher, Percy –

Of 29, Wright Street, Horwich, Lancashire. Formerly a railway porter at Horwich Station. Reported wounded and in a base hospital in August 1918 with a gunshot wound to the left eye and severe injuried to the left leg..
