Greenhalgh, James –

Brother of Mrs. Woods, of 29, Rhyl Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted October 1914. Reported missing since 26/04/1916 and subsequently presumed killed. Recorded as King’s Shropshire Light Infantry on Bolton Roll of Honour.

Greenhalgh, Charles –

Of 14, Webb Street, Elton, Bury, Lancashire. Caught aged 24 as a deserter from Barrow since 20/03/1915 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 22/03/1915 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/26)

Greenhalgh, William –

Son of Mr. Luke Greenhalgh, of 11, Thompson Street, Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Violet Greenhalgh (nee Easden). Enlisted 1903 aged 16 and spent ten years serving in India, and then employed as a police sergeant at Karachi.

Greenhalgh, Edward Unsworth –

Of 3, Hector Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Caught aged 35 as an absentee from Withernsea since 29/08/1918 and from Thirtle Bridge Camp, Withernsea since 10/10/1918 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 10/09/1918 and 21/10/1918 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/29).

Greenhalgh, Alfred –
