Husband of Harriet Ann Grime, of 19, Markland Square, Farnworth, Lancashire, and formerly of 77, Lever Street, Little Lever, Lancashire.

Grimshaw, R –

Husband of Mrs. Grimshaw, of 146, Longcauseway, Farnworth, Lancashire. Enlisted April 1916. Hospitalised at Edmonton Military Hospital by the effects of gas in November 1917. Captured prisoner of war April 1918.

Son of Frederick Arthur and Elizabeth Ellen Grocott, of Seedley, Salford, Lancashire.

Groves (Wharton), Albert –

NOTE:- Served as Albert WHARTON. Husband of Catherine Groves (nee Hannah), of 13, Fraser Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Originally enlisted under the name Albert GROVES, but later changed in service during WWI to WHARTON. Formerly employed by the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Company as a shunter at Bolton, Lancashire. Wounded at Le Touquet 20/10/1914 by an explosive bullet which severely injured his mouth and jaw.

Grumley, J –

Son-in-Law of the late Mrs. O’Brien, of 68, Crompton Street, Farnworth, Lancashire; husband of Mrs. Grumley (nee O’Brien), of 76, Crompton Street, Farnworth, Lancashire. Enlisted April 1915. Discharged through illness March 1917.
