Formerly 9th Bn., Lancashire Fusiliers. Wounded by gunshot in the left knee 28/08/1917. Posted missing since 21/03/1918 and subsequently confirmed prisoner of war. Repatriated 17/12/1918.

Only son of M. W. Hawson (formerly Hardie), of 18, Blair Road, Manchester, Lancashire, and the late John Hardie. Formerly 3376, Lancashire Fusiliers.

Hardman, Alfred –

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Hardman, of 16, Westminster Road, Swinton, Lancashire. Formerly employed by Messrs. Burgess, Ledward and Co. Joined up February 1917. Wounded in March 1918.

Of 935, Atherton Road, Hindley Green, Lancashire. Formerly 4916, Royal Field Artillery. Previous service in the South African Campaign (Queen’s Medal with 5 bars; King’s Medal with 2 bars).

Hardman, Arthur Ellis –

Son of the late Ellis Hardman and the late Martha Hardman (nee Lonsdale), of Little Lever, Lancashire; husband of Isabella Hardman (nee Morley), of 130, Church Street, Little Lever, Lancashire. Enlisted November 1914. Reported missing since 21/08/1915 and subsequently presumed killed.
