Horne, Harold –

Son of the late Ralph Horne and of Alice Horne (nee Gregson), of 21, Howell Croft South, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 56, Ashburner Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Died of acute appendicitis and peritonitis aboard the HM Hospital Ship Valdivia. Buried at Sea.

Horner, Bernard –

Son of James and Luna Horner, of 164, Shaw Heath, Stockport, Cheshire. Attached to the 10th Bn., Gloucestershire Regiment at time of death.

Horridge, Joseph –

Son of William and Mary Jane Horridge (nee Davies), of 25, Barncroft Road, Farnworth, Lancashire. Enlisted August 1915. Captured prisoner of war 25/04/1918 and held at Limburg.

Son of John and Elizabeth Horrigan, of 32, Whit Lane, Pendleton, Lancashire. Worked for Salford Corporation Tramways Department.

Horrocks, Henry –

Husband of Mrs. Horrocks, of 49, Hibbert Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly employed as a carter for the Bolton Co-Operative Society. He had been hit in the thigh and was making his way his dug-out when he suffered a fatal wound to the head.

Husband of M. A. Gate (formerly Horrocks), of 22, Skinner Street, Salford, Lancashire.

Horrocks, William Henry –

Son of William Henry and Alice Horrocks, of 364 Leigh Road, Westhoughton, Lancashire; husband of Annie Horrocks, of 18, Ward Street, Weaste, Salford, Lancashire. Formerly a police constable. Posted missing 25/04/1918 and confirmed captured prisoner of war. Interred 26/07/1920.

Horrocks (Jopson), Samuel –

NOTE:- Also known locally as Samuel Jopson. Son of the late John Horrocks and the late Emma Horrocks (nee Hoyle); adopted son of Philip and Sarah Jane Jopson, of 20, Bolton Street, Bury, Lancashire; brother of George H Horrocks, of 108, Clarence Street, Bolton, Lancashire. A sister, Zilpha, resided at 10, Percy Street, Bolton, Lancashire.

Horrocks (Mann), Isaac –

NOTE:- Served as Isaac MANN. Son of John Horrocks, of 12, Crompton Street, Farnworth, Lancashire, and the late Elizabeth Ann Horrocks (nee Mann); husband of Sarah Mann (nee Coxall), of Briars Brook, Lathom, Lancashire. Served 17 years with the Lancashire Fusiliers and was employed at the Army Ordnance Corps stores at Lathom, near Ormskirk. Was a reservist activated at the outbreak of war.
