Formerly employed as a clerk in the Rate Office at Bolton Town Hall. Enlisted April 1916. Wounded by a shell in the right arm 12/04/1917 and hospitalised at Brighton.

Son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Hayes; husband of Alys Hayes, of 28, Romney Street, Pendleton, Lancashire. Died at the Graylingwell Military Hospital, Chichester.

Hearn, Robert Cecil –

Son of Florence Maria Hearn (nee Perry), of 24, St. James’, Hatcham, London, and the the late Charles Henry Hearn. Formerly a master at the Bolton School. Enlisted early 1915 in the Inns of Court Officer Training Corps, from which he received his commission. Served in France and Macedonia.

Hudson, Richard Noble –

Son of James and Ann Elizabeth Hudson, of Martindale, Swinton, Lancashire. Formerly 5584, 16th Bn., London Regiment.

Jackson, Brian –

Son of Thomas Thornley Jackson, of 96, Chorley New Road, Bolton, Lancashire. An old boy of Bolton Grammar School (1908-1913). Recorded under the Royal Fusiliers (City of London) Regiment on the Bolton County Borough Roll of Honour. Formerly M/302021, Royal Army Service Corps. Rifle Brigade. Posted wounded and missing since 22/03/1918, and subsequently presumed killed.
