Of 8, Lowndes Street, Smithills, Bolton, Lancashire. Reported missing 18/04/1918 and subsequetly confirmed prisoner of war.

Son of Thomas and Mary Ellen Duckworth (nee Bennett); husband of Lillian Duckworth (nee Woods), of 173, Bolton Road, Edgworth, Lancashire. Reported to have been captured prisoner of war.

Duddle, Thomas –

Son of Samuel and J. H. Duddle, of 10, Clifford Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly Private 90746, 3rd Bn., Machine Gun Corps (Infantry). Caught aged 33 and aged 41 (on records) as an absentee from Clipstone Camp, Nottingham since 03/06/1917 and from France since 20/02/1918 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 19/06/1917 and 26/03/1918 to be sent back to his unit under escort. Formerly 265, 1st/4th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Captured prisoner of war 31/07/1915 and interned in the Doeberitz Camp, Germany.

Caught multiple times as a deserter or absentee appearing before Bolton Magistrates each time to be sent back his unit under escort. Formerly 8th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment; formerly 3rd Bn. Also appeared before Bolton Magistrates 21/10/1918 for assault on PC36 Aaron Edge ain the Bay Horse Hotel, Deansgate, though the charge was dropped in view of him being absentee from the Army.
