Entwistle, Herbert –

Son of Mr. and Mrs. William Henry Entwistle, of 29, Buxton Street, Waterloo Street, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 24, Devonshire Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted September 1914. Reported missing since 11/08/1916 and subsequently presumed killed. Three brothers also serving, Sam and Harry in France, and Jim in Salonika/Egypt (in April/August 1917).

Son of Mr. and Mrs. William Henry Entwistle, of 29, Buxton Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted as Private P6 / 4943, 12th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Caught aged 21 as an absentee from Lytham since 28/01/1916 and 05/02/1916. Appeared before Bolton Magistrates 31/01/1916 and 07/02/1916 to be sent back to his unit under escort. Formerly 10th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Caught aged 38 multiple times as an absentee appearing before Bolton Magistrates to be sent back to his unit under escort.
