Evans, Fisher Henry Freke –

Husband of Maria Louisa Evans (nee Haslett). Previously served since 1893 in King’s Own Royal Lancaster Regiment, incluidng service in the South African Campaign. Officer commanding 2nd/5th Loyal North Lancashire Regiment, July 1917.

Evans, George –

Of 4, Walter Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Caught aged 27 as an absentee from Heaton Park Camp since 14/09/1918 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 27/09/1918 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/29).

Evans, Alec –

An old boy of the Bolton Municipal Secondary School. Noted Tonge cricketer. A lewis gunner. Gassed and hospitalised at Leeds in September 1918. Two brothers also served.
