Hardman, Thomas –

Of 107, Moor Lane, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 4, Hengist Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly 4th/5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Caught multiple times as an absentee and appeared before Bolton Magistrates to be sent back to his units under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/26 & JBO/1/27).

Hardman, William –

Son of Mrs. M. E. Hardman, of 253, Darwen Road, Bromley Cross, Turton, Lancashire, and the late Mr. J. Hardman. Enlisted March 1916. Died in hospital in France from illness.

Brother of Mary Ellen Hardy, of 35, Harold Street, Bolton, Lancashire.

Hardy, James –

Of 34, Virgin Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted April 1915.

Hardy, Robert –

Son of William and Hannah Hardy, of 12, Matthew Street, Moses Gate, Farnworth, Lancashire. Of 3, Worsley Road, Farnworth, Lancashire. Taken prisoner of war 26/02/1917 suffering from the shattering of the right leg and arm and left side of the forehead.

Hardy, Francis Ernest –

Son of Frank and Alice Mary Hardy, of 111, Bolton Road, Edgworth, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted March 1909.

Harford, Charles Lloyd –

Joined the King’s Liverpool Regiment as a Second Lieutenant in 1897, and served in the South African Campaign. Appointed adjutant of the 4th/5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment.

Hargreaves, Fred –

Only son of Robert Hargreaves, schoolmaster, of 561, Chorley Old Road, Bolton, Lancashire. An old boy of Bolton Grammar School (1908-1912). Formerly employed in the Borough Treasurer’s Department. Enlisted November 1914 in 2nd/5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Gazetted Second Lieutenant August 1915.

Hargreaves, Frederick William –

Of 47, Hilden Street, Haulgh, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted June 1915. Formerly 5455, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Promoted from Lance Corporal to Corporal 16/08/1915.
