Son of James and Esther Lyon, of 33, Old Road, Astley Bridge, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 4, Knowles Court, Astley Bridge, Bolton, Lancashire. Reported missing 29/09/1915, and subsequently confirmed prisoner of war. Released 28/12/1916 ill with Malaria and Blackwater Fever.
