Eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. George Molyneux, of 27, Holden Street, Great Lever, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted September 1914. His brother John served in Mesopotamia (1917), and brother-in-law Jack in France.

Monks, George –

Mrs. Dearden, of 88, Ellesmere Street, Farnworth, Lancashire. Slightly wounded in the left shoulder at Cambrai. Seriously wounded aged 36 in the left thigh 30/05/1918, and hospitalised at North Evington Military Hospital, Leicester. Previously served five years in the regulars, including service through the South African Campaign.

Formerly Private 3387, 2nd/5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Attached to the Trench Mortar Battery. Service number incorrectly recorded as 241438 on SDGW.

Caught as an absentee from the 3rd/5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment at Blackpool since 15/04/1916 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 20/04/1916 to be sent back to his unit under escort. Caught again as an absentee from the 4th/5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment at Blackdown since 07/10/1916 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 14/10/1916 to be sent back to his unit under escort.
