Morgan, John Egan –

Fifth son of William and Isabella Morgan, of 32, Gillibrand Street, Chorley, Lancashire. Studied at Bolton Technical School and gained his diploma of merit for accountancy. Enlisted June 1915. Wounded on 23/07/1916 and died at Netley Hospital, from wounds.

Morgan, John Henry –

Of 28, Charles Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted November 1915, “Group System”. Caught aged 19 as an absentee from Fulwood, Preston since 08/05/1917 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 18/05/1917 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/28).

Morley, James –

Husband of Mrs. Morley, of 33, Harvey Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Served as a Sergeant in the South African Campaign with the King’s Own Scottish Borderers, during which he was slightly wounded in the leg.

Morris, James –

Of 41, Spring Gardens, Little Hulton, Lancashire. Enlisted October 1915.

Morris, James –

Husband of Mrs. Morris, of 3, Little Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Wounded 13/11/1915 and transferred to hospital at Malta where he subsequently died of wounds. His brother John was wounded in the Dardanelles and hospitalised. His brother William served with the East Lancashire Regiment in France.
