Orton, William James –

Of 13, Cunliffe Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Caught aged 18 as a deserter from Chipping Sodbury since 09/10/1914 apearing before Bolton Magistrates 22/10/1914 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/25).

O’Toole, Lawrence –

Son of Lawrence and Mary Ann O’Toole; husband of Margaret O’Toole, of 99, Moor Lane, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly of 31, Partridge Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Served in the Sudan Campaign (Khartoum), and in the South African War.

Of 79, Darwin Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Wounded 09/08/1916.

Ouldcott, Ernest –

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Ouldcott, of 252, Back Chorley New Road, Horwich, Lancashire. Formerly employed at Horwich Loco Works. Previously Private / Sergeant 251/1281, 4th Bn. Loyal North Lancashire Regiment, the Horwich Territorials. Wounded 14/09/1915. Reported missing since 08/08/1916 and subsequently presumed killed. Father served in the King’s Own Royal Lancaster Regiment, and was discharged with wounds.
