Son of George Patrick, of 21, Mehearn Street, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 15, Ninehouse Lane, Great Lever, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted April 1915. Caught aged 19 as a deserter from 3rd/5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment at Weeton Camp since 11/08/1915, since 08/09/1915, and since 14/09/1915. Appeared before Bolton Magistrates 19/08/1915, 09/09/1915, and 25/09/1915 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/26). Wounded 10/10/1916.
