Caught aged 22 as an absentee from Sevenoaks since 01/05/1915 and as an absentee from Sanridge Park Camp, Oxted appearing before Bolton Magistrates 04/05/1915 and 17/07/1915 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/26). Incorrectly reported missing, believed killed.
