Son of the late John and Louisa Mary Redfern of Oakdene, Leicester Road, Hale, Cheshire. Commissioned Second Lieutenant 19/08/1915. Date of death incorrectly recorded as 02/03/1917 on SDGW.

Redford, Harold Clarke –

Husband of Ellen Redford (nee Tonge), of 168, Hall Lane, Moses Gate, Farnworth, Lancashire. Formerly 5266, 4th/5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Promoted from Lance Corporal to Sergeant 16/08/1915. Self-wounded accidentally by gunshot from his own rifle in the arm at Manchester 21/09/1917 and subsequently court-martialled. Previously served in the South African War.
