Billingham, John William –

Of 7, Chapel Street, Farnworth, Lancashire. Half brother of E Windley. One of many men killed when a German mine exploded under trenches near Givenchy.

Billington, George –

Of 56, Slaterfield, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly 9th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Caught aged 31 and 38 (per record) as an absentee from Knowsley Park Camp, Prescot since 17/11/1917 and from Felixstowe since 22/04/1918 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 22/11/1917 and 23/05/1918 to be sent back to his unit under escort.
