Rostron, Herbert –

Son of Mrs. Rostron, of 59, Bridgeman Street, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of Tonge Moor, Bolton, Lancashire. Left a lucrative position in Lawrence, Massachussetts, U.S.A. to sail back to England to enlist in April 1916.

Rostron, James –

Husband of Mrs. Rostron, of 11, Green Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Sister resided at 36, Elizabeth Street, Moses Gate, Farnworth, Lancashire. Enlisted August 1914. Shot whilst attempting to rescue a Bolton man wounded as they were clearing Germans from a trench at Bazentin-le-Petit.

Of 16, Abbey Grove, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted November 1915.

Rostron, Thomas –

Son of Thomas and Anne Rostron, of 62, Spring Gardens, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted May 1915. Formerly Private 4868, 2nd/5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Played in a football match in October 1916 against a team from the 2nd/10th Bn., King’s Liverpool Regiment.

Worked for the London and North Western Railway Company as a Shunter at Patricroft, Lancashire.

Of 183, Bolton Road, Edgworth, Turton, Lancashire. Enlisted February 1915.

Son of James and Margaret Ellen Rothwell, of New Bury, Farnworth, Lancashire.

Rothwell, John Thomas –

Husband of Elizabeth Ann Rothwell, of Bolton, Lancashire. Killed at Vimy Ridge. Recorded as Thomas Rothwell in local newspaper.

Rothwell, Lee –

Of 13, Markland Square, Farnworth, Lancashire. Enlisted October 1915. Badly wounded in the stomach and right forearm 26/08/1916.
