Attached 1st/5th Bn., South Lancashire Regiment. His brother Arthur V. Scroggie served as Writer 2nd Class, Clyde Z/955, Royal Navy.

Son of Mr. Seddon, of 117, High Street, Little Lever, Lancashire. Enlisted September 1914. Reported missing since April 1918 at La Bassee and confirmed prisoner of war. All photos captioned “Lce-Cpl. G. Seddon.” in F&WJ.

Grandson of Mr. Diers, of 50, Foundry Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Wounded resulting in the loss of his right hand and hospitalised at Aberdeen in December 1916.

Son of John Richard Platt Seddon, of 33, Grundy Street, Westhoughton, Lancashire, and the late Florence Seddon (nee Hochkins), and step son of Sarah Seddon (nee Howard). Half-brother of Private Richard Edmund Howard served in the King’s Own Royal Lancaster Regiment.
