Son of William and Elllen (CWGC) or Henrietta (Census) Taylor (nee Whitney), of Bolton, Lancashire; nephew and adopted son of Henry and Lucy Gradwell, of 9, Edgemont Avenue, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted July 1915. Wounded 13/11/1916 in the leg by a shell, and died at the 2nd General Military Hospital, France. The Saviour’s RoH.
