Thompson, John –

Of 19, Saturn Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted May 1915. Formerly 5000, 5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Promoted from Private to Lance Corporal 16/08/1915.

Son of Mrs. Lavinia Thompson, of 13, Margaret Street, Ullor Street, Salford, Lancashire. Service number recorded as 15890 on CWGC – confirmed as 15880 by Medal Card and SDGW.

Thornborough, Ellis –

Husband of Fanny Thornborough (nee Holden), of 31, Louisa Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted May 1915. Died Aged 45 years in December 1919, and interred in Bolton (Heaton) Cemetery 13/12/1919.

Thornley, James Henry –

Son of John Thornley; husband of Mrs. Lily Thornley, of 118, Ellesmere Street, Farnworth, Lancashire. Later 32, Water Lane Street, Radcliffe, Lancashire. Joined the army at 15 and served in the South African Campaign with the 5th Manchester Militia. Killed by a shell. Brothers Alex and William also served.
