Son of James and Annie Tyldesley, of Westhoughton, Lancashire; husband of Edith Rosina Tyldesley (nee Anderson), of 29, Victoria Avenue, Levenshulme, Manchester, Lancashire. Well known Lancashire and Westhoughton Cricketer. Formerly Corporal 2546, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Commissioned 09/10/1915. Attached 9th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Reported missing and subsequently confirmed killed.

Tyldesley, Fred –

Of 19, Lum Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted March 1915 to the Welsh Regiment. Caught aged 34 as an absentee from 1st/12th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment at Lytham since 14/02/1916 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 15/02/1916 to be sent back to his unit under escort.
