Welsh, Thomas –

Husband of Mrs. Welsh, of 5, Moss Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Went to France in January 1915, wounded in August 1915, and again on 11/04/1917 at Arras. Whilst en-route to England wounded, his ship was sunk on 17/04/1917 and swam for an hour before being picked up by a destroyer.

Son of Mrs. Susannah Whalley, of 8, Salmon Street, London Road, Preston, Lancashire; brother of Joseph Whalley, of 60, Park Street, Farnworth, Lancashire.

Whalley, Peter Gregory –

Son of John and Elizabeth Whalley; husband of Elizabeth Ann Whalley (nee Peace), of 45, Bashall Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly Private 6721, 2nd Bn., Lancashire Fusiliers, enlisted 07/09/1898, and dischaged time expired 06/09/1915. Re-enlisted for further service. Suffered bullet wound in the thigh.

Whalley, William K –

Son of Emily Whalley, of 30, Moor Lane, Bolton, Lancashire. His father also served despite being 54 of age, and having 21 years prior service in the Army.
