Son of Emanuel and Martha Wilkins, of 9, Lime Street, Farnworth, Lancashire, and formerly of 32, Clammerclough Road, Farnworth, Lancashire. An old boy of the Hollands School. A bugler, he was knocked down by a motor lorry when sounding the Last Post, and died the next day. Memorial in Kearsley (St. Stephen) Churchyard.

Wounded in the right arm, leg and left breast, and celebrated his 20th birthday in a German hospital as a prisoner of war.
