Wolfe, Bertram –

Of Inglenook, 45, Woodsmoor Lane, Stockport, Cheshire. Attached 10th Bn., Lancashire Fusiliers. Died at Somerville Hospital, Somertown, Oxfordshire.

Wolfendale, Sydney –

Of 11, Cambridge Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Caught aged 22 as an absentee from France since 21/09/1918 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 03/10/1918 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/29).

Wolstencroft, Harry –

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Wolstencroft, of Hough Lane, Eagley, Turton, Lancashire. Killed almost immediately when hit in the head by a bullet while on patrol duty.

Womersley, Thomas –

Of 7, Stowell Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted 1917. Formerly Private 2859, 1st/5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Reported missing since 30/11/1917 and subsequently confirmed prisoner of war at Minden.
