Allen, Harold –

Son of Abraham and Margaret Allen, of 16, Cambridge Road, Lostock, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly employed by the Horwich Co-operative Society. Previously served in German East Africa, and later in France. Originally recorded as missing, taken prisoner of war and held at Rastatt, Baden, Germany. Two brothers also served.

Son of James Allen, of Port Adelaide, Australia. Of 242, Oxford Grove, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly Private 5669 / P141, 12th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Caught aged 19 as an absentee from Lytham since 25/01/1916 and appeared before Bolton Magistrates 27/01/1916 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/26).

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Allen, of 47, Leinster Street, Farnworth, Lancashire. Formerly 7952, 1st/4th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. A signaller. Posted missing 30/11/1917, and subsequently confirmed as Prisoner of War in Munster, Germany.

Husband of Mary Allen (nee Marsden), of 14, Waterloo Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Previous service with Lancashire Fusiliers.
