Son of Thomas and Caroline Bunyan; husband of Florence Bunyan (nee Crook), of 113, Folds Road, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly of 50, Lark Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly employed as a labourer in the Bolton Corporation Gas Department. Enlisted September 1914. Previous 10 years service in the Navy, and five on the Naval Reserve as Petty Officer 2nd Class.

Son of John Thomas and Jane Bunyan, of Tonge Moor, Bolton, Lancashire.

Burgess, John –

Husband of Annie Burgess, of 35, Shrewsbury Road, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 206, Crescent Road, Great Lever, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly Corporal 5097, 4th/5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Promoted from Lance Corporal to Corporal 16/08/1915.

Burgess, William Thomas –

Of 13, Dickinson Street East, Horwich, Lancashire. Formerly employed at the Horwich Loco Works. Posted missing since 28/07/1917 and subsequently presumed killed.

Burgess, Fred –

Son of Mr. and Mrs. John Burgess, of 4, Moss Street, Farnworth, Lancashire; husband of Mrs. Burgess, of 76, Devon Street, Farnworth, Lancashire. Enlisted February 1916. Reported missing and prisoner of war since 30/11/1917 but subsequently reported presumed killed.

Burke, Joseph –

Son of Catherine Burke, of 66, Crompton Street, Farnworth, Lancashire; grandson of Mrs. Burke, of 12, Kent Street, Farnworth, Lancashire. Enlisted November 1914. Seriously wounded in the legs and right arm in France on 11/08/1918, and died that day.

Burke, Stanley –

Son of Mary Jane Greenwood, of 43, Trafford Grove, Stretford, Manchester, Lancashire.

Burke, Thomas –

Husband of Mrs. Burke, of 12, Wike Street, Halliwell, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted September 1914. Hit in the face by shrapnel and killed instantly. A brother also served, the two enlisting together.
