Chapman, Alfred Reginald Bewes –

Eldest son of Thomas Alfred Chapman, Bishop of Colchester, and Catherine Mary Chapman, of Derby House, Colchester, Essex. Formerly of The Vicarage, Bolton, Lancashire. Educated at Plymouth College, Rossall and St. John’s College, Cambridge. Gazetted, August, 1914. Promoted 02/09/1914 to Second Lieutenant. Slightly wounded in the head around 20/06/1915. Wounded again 03/08/1915.

Son of Mrs. Chappell, of Leicester Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly of Cross Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted October 1914. Died from the effects of asphyxiating gas poisoning.

Charlton, Percy –

Son of Alice Charlton, of 12, Gerrard Street, Westhoughton, Lancashire, and formerly of Cemetery Street, Westhoughton, Lancashire. Captured prisoner of war 30/11/1917 at Cambrai. Died of shot wounds in the chest in a dressing station in Germany.
