Son of Mrs. Collier, of 461, Hilton Lane, Little Hulton, Lancashire. Formerly employed at Peel Hall Colliery. Mobilised at the outbreak of war. Formerly Acting Sergeant 1947, 1st/5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Wounded in the feet, knee and arm 21/08/1917.

Collier, Albert –

Son of James Collier, of Egerton Street, Farnworth, Lancashire; husband of Mrs. Collier, of 26, Harper Street, Moses Gate, Farnworth, Lancashire. Died from the effects of heatstroke.

Collier, John –

Son of William and Ann Collier, of 11, Crumpsall Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Previously employed by Dobson and Barlow. Enlisted March 1915. Died from multiple shell wounds at the Canadian Clearing Station at Lijssenthoek. All Saints Chuch, Halliwell. Brother William serving, and brother Robert prisoner of war in Germany.

Collier, Arthur –

Youngest son of William and Ellen Collier, of 139, Harrowby Street, Farnworth, Lancashire. A noted amateur athlete of Dixon Green. Enlisted June 1915. Formerly 5051, 3rd/5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Killed by a shell.
