Of 39, Dawson Lane, Bolton, Lancashire. Wounded in arm and leg by a bomb on 31/05/1917.

Son of John William and Elizabeth Ellen Coop, of 108, Dorset Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Previous service with Border Regiment, purchased discharge.

Of 38, Malvern Avenue, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted December 1914.

Of 42, Turk Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly Private 2886, 1st/5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Wounded August 1916.

Coope, Samuel –

Of 11, Green Street, Moses Gate, Farnworth, Lancashire. Previously worked for the London and North Western Railway Company as a Labourer at Patricroft. Reported to be Farnworth’s first casualty, killed in a railway accident at Chipping Sodbury.

Cooper, William Randolph (Roy) –

Only son of Ernest Nightingale and Martha Annie Cooper (nee Briercliffe), of The Counting House, Nether Shatton, Bamford, Derbyshire, and formerly of 20, Byron Road, Sheffield, Yorkshire. Associated with Sun Mills at Moses Gate, Farnworth. Joined the Manchester University Officer Training Corps in January 1916 and commissioned 25/10/1916. Severely wounded at Hebuterne early 1917. Killed at Givenchy, near La Bassee.

Son of Joseph and Harriet Cooper, of 93, Chorley Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly Private 3042, 5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Killed by shell fire.

Cooper, Cyril –

Of 305, Darwen Road, Bromley Cross, Turton, Lancashire. Enlisted May 1915. Wounded 03/05/1917 and subsequently succumbed to his injuries at the Australian Casualty Clearing Station in France.
