Son of James and Margaret Alice Fearnley, of 26, Regent Street, Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Margaret Louisa Fearnley (nee Blake), of Walton-in-Gordano, Somerset. Formerly employed at the Horwich Loco Works. Formerly Lance Corporal 72506, 7th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Wounded by gunshot to the back.

Hart, Frank Albert Middlehurst –

Son of Robert Hart, heamaster of Markland Hill School, Heaton, and of 279, Willows Lane, Deane, Bolton, Lancashire. Reported missing since 27/11/1917 and subsequently confirmed prisoner of war in Germany. One of three sons serving.

Haslam, Percy Lovell Clare –

Son of John Percival and Clara Emily Haslam; husband of Estella Maude Haslam (nee Gordon). Promoted from Lieutenant to Captain November 1915. Formerly 18th (Queen Mary’s Own Royal) Hussars.

Hodson, Charles –

Son of William Hodson, of 233, Rishton Lane, Great Lever, Bolton, Lancashire. Wounded in the head and severely in the legs and in hospital in February 1918. An elder brother was killed in France in June 1917.

Hunt, John –

Son of Mrs. Hunt, of 21, Bromwich Street, Haulgh, Bolton, Lancashire. An old boy of Bolton Municipal Secondary School. Enlisted November 1914. Formerly 21529, 23rd Bn., Manchester Regiment. Transferred to Tank Corps in December 1916.

Husband of Annie Wood (formerly Hutchinson), of 87, Rawsthorne Street, Bolton, Lancashire.

Keppel-Palmer, Stuart Leslie –

Son of Llewellin Keppel-Palmer, of Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire. Also of Little Haven, Pembrokeshire. Formerly employed by the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Company.

Makin, James Warmington –

Son of Thomas and Ruth Warmington Makin (nee Hattin), of 136, Sandy Bank, Radcliffe Road, Haulgh, Bolton, Lancashire. An old boy of the Bolton Municipal Secondary School. Enlisted November 1915.

Noblet, Samuel –

Husband of Mrs. Noblet (nee Clare), of Crumpsall, Lancashire, and formerly of Walkden, Lancashire. Hospitalised at the 1st Canadian General Hospital in France with severe trench fever in November 1918.

Ouldcott, Edgar Harry –

Only son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Ouldcott, of 89, Nelson Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted September 1914. Formerly employed at Horwich Loco Works. Formerly 15335, 10th Bn., Royal Welsh Fusiliers.

Rawlinson, John (Jack) –

Son of Annie Elizabeth Rawlinson (nee Dodge), of Briar Cottage, Worsley Road, Swinton, Lancashire, and the late Ezra Rawlinson; husband of Gertrude Rawlinson (nee Blears), of Holmlea, Egerton Park, Worsley, Lancashire. Enlisted December 1916. Trained for his commission with the Inns of Court Officer Training Corps. Wounded in the action on 08/08/1918 when hit in the knee by a ‘whizz-bang’, and hospitalised at Oxford.

Ray, William –

Son of William and Elizabeth Ann Ray, of 26, Nottingham Street, Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Ethel Ray (nee Hamer), of 186 Waterloo Street, Bolton. Formerly 16450, 8th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Also served in Machine Gun Corps (Heavy Branch). Died aged 28 years 25/09/1921 and interred at Bolton (Heaton) Cemetery, 29/09/1921.

Regan, John –

Of 7, Fielding Street, Patricroft, Lancashire. Formerly Private 2561, 29th Division, Army Cyclist Corps; formerly 1st Bn., Lancashire Fusiliers. Re-enlisted after the war serving in the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment.

Ridings, Charles Alma –

Son of Charles Alma Ridings and Rose Ridings, of Manchester, Lancashire; husband of Margaret Alice Ridings, of 15, Peel Avenue, Higher Ardwick, Manchester, Lancashire. Formerly 270246, Royal Army Service Corps.
