Formerly 359834, King’s Liverpool Regiment. Four brothers also serving. Captured Prisoner of War on 30/11/1917. Died of Pneumonia. One of five brothers serving, Wallace, Jack, Percy and Harry.

Son of Mr. J. E. Cassidy, headmaster of Moorside Council School, and of Bradda, Hazlehurst, Worsley, Lancashire. Wounded.

Catterall, Stanley –

Son of Joseph and Sarah Jane Catterall, of 10, Blindsill Road, New Bury, Farnworth, Lancashire. Formerly 22912, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Died from wounds in the legs.

Chadwick, James –

Of 13, Cecil Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Caught as an absentee from Belton Park, Grantham since 21/08/1916 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 24/08/1916 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/27). Transferred to King’s Own Scottish Borderers 17/03/1921.

Of 47, Stacliffe Street, Great Lever, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly employed by the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Company as a clerk in the goods department at Clifton Junction Station. Enlisted June 1917. Formerly Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Taken prisoner of war at St. Quentin and detained at Cassell, Germany. Mawdsley Street Congregational Church.

Of 6, Whitby Street, Daubhill, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly Private 12308, 10th Bn., Lancashire Fusiliers. His death reported in Bolton Journal and as of the Lancashire Fusiliers, but later reported to be prisoner of war and or the Machine Gun Corps.
