Husband of Catherine Grundy. Died in hospital at Norwich. Doubly recorded on SDGW.

Grundy, Harold Cecil –

Son of Councillor Joseph and Mrs. Betty Grundy, of 330, Bolton Road, Kearsley, Lancashire. An old boy of the Bolton Municipal Secondary School. Previously wounded twice. Died from influenza and pneumonia. Memorial in Kearsley (St. Stephen) Churchyard.

Son of Alfred and Elizabeth Alice Grundy (nee Arden), of 10, Albert Street, Little Hulton, Lancashire. Formerly employed by Burgess, Ledward and Co. at Linnyshaw Mills, Walkden. Enlisted September 1914, two days before his 19th birthday.

Grundy, Thomas –

Son of James and Caroline Grundy, of 3, Alfred Street, Tyldesley, Lancashire. Formerly Private 2977, 2nd/5th Bn., Manchester Regiment. Battalion recorded as 5th Bn. on CWGC, and 18th Bn. on SDGW. Died from gunshot wound to the head at The Horton County of London War Hospital, Epsom.

Formerly Sergeant 6620, 16th Bn., Manchester Regiment. Fought at Gallipoli. Commissioned 25/04/1917. Slightly wounded in France in a shell explosion 04/06/1917.
