Son of William and Flora Barnes. Of 14, Arkwright Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Born at Preston, Lancashire. Formerly 17653, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Wounded 26/09/1917 and succumbed two days later.

Son of William and Ann Barnes, of 6, Lightbourne Green, Swinton, Lancashire.

Barnes, Harry –

Son of Richard and Mary Alice Barnes, of 32, Ellesmere Street, Moorside, Swinton, Lancashire. Enlisted November 1915.

Barnes, Harry –

Of 374, Bolton Road, Pendlebury, Lancashire. His brother James was a regular in the Royal Field Artillery.

Barnes, Thomas –

Son of Peter Barnes, of 34, Horace Street, Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Elizabeth Ellen Barnes (nee Sagar), of 12, Nevada Street, Halliwell, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly of 14, Raphael Street, Brownlow Fold, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly Sergeant 15186, 8th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Wounded 11/07/1916. Commissioned 10/09/1918.

Barnett, Edward –

Son of Jonathan and Isabella Barnett, of 14, Glen Street, Cheetham Hill, Lancashire. He originally enlisted on 23/05/1915 in the 7th Bn., Manchester Regiment but was discovered to be under age during training. He promptly re-enlisted the following day after being discharged, claiming to be 19 years old although aged only 13, and spent his 14th birthday in France. At this time he was 5’8″ tall. He spent four months in the trenches before again being discharged 20/05/1916.

Barrett, Harold Renshaw –

Son of Samuel and Isabella Barrett, of 14, The Polygon, Lower Broughton, Lancashire. Service number recorded as 7179 on CWGC. Confirmed on Medal Card as 7197. Worked for Salford Corporation Education Department.
